**The Freedoms Foundation Announces...
The Leavey Awards for Excellence in Private Enterprise Education
Thomas and Dorothy Leavey endowed this fund in 1981 because they believed that "It is essential to the future of our freedom that young people in schools, colleges and universities develop an appreciation and enthusiasm for our economic system in the United States".
Each year a jury appointed by the Freedoms Foundation selects from entries up to 20 awards of $7,500 to the outstanding teacher. In addition, it may recommend a special award of $15,000 for an unusually meritorious entry.
Submissions must be received by the Freedoms Foundation by November 30. Obtain a nomination form by calling the Awards Department at 610-933-8825 on weekdays or by fax at 610-935-0522. See nomination details.
