** SPECIAL EVENTS:

  • Consortium Members Special Meeting was held Friday, November 4 - Consortium members and guests explored the meanings of Slavery and Freedom (Then and Now) at the Cincinnati Freedom Center, and enjoyed an Italian Feast at Buca di Beppo. The Bus Driver took us on a great tour of Cincinnati sites on the way and on the way home. This was a great networking opportunity...and fun was had by all..

  • LOCAL ENTREPRENEURS hosted the Annual Pre-Conference Tour of Cincinnati area Entrepreneurs. The tour included meeting with Chris Cole, CEO who founded Intelligrated in 2001 with 17 employees and today employs over 500 people and serve global markets. Second on the tour was the Long Stanton Tour with Dan Cunningham, President & CEO. After 150 years in business the Long Stanton Group was chosen in 2009 as the Family Business of the Decade. Next the tour went to World Pac Paper, LLC to meet with Edgar Smith, Chairman & CEO of an Inc. 500 and award winning national distributor of high quality printing & packaging papers and packaging solutions. And finally the group visited Findlay Market, Ohio's oldest continuously operated public market that is home year-around to about two dozen indoor merchants.

  • "THINK LIKE AN ENTREPRENEUR" - The annual Think Tank Meeting was held on Saturday, Nov 5, to discuss plans and collect ideas about expanding local roles in the Consortium mission of "Entrepreneurship Everywhere". Joining us at the meeting were Mark Schroll of PLTW (Project Lead the Way) and Ken Bloemer from the KEEN program at the University of Dayton. Participants discussed how we can interact with their STEM-based programs to share our new problem-based entrepreneurship initiatives. Check out the whole agenda and available resources here.

  • The STUDENT MARKETPLACE featured student entrepreneurs who came on Sunday to set up an exhibit to sell their products, talk to the teachers, and enjoy the luncheon.

  • DIXIELAND DINNER CRUISE Everyone enjoyed a cruise on the Ohio River with a Dixieland Dinner outing on Sunday evening. The food was plentiful and the networking brought opportunities for making new connections.

  • POST CONFERENCE TOUR - Those who wanted to complete their conference experience on Monday afternoon and evening went to the Cincinnati Museum Center in the historic Train Terminal. Then we headed for the Hollywood Casino just across the state border in Indiana for an evening of good food and good luck.
