National Entrepreneurship Week. . .
Purpose and PlansOn February 20 - 27, 2010, the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education will host the 4th annual National Entrepreneurship Week (NEW), a Celebration of the heritage of entrepreneurship in America and NEW opportunities for a NEW Generation!
In 2006 the US Congress established the need for celebration of National Entrepreneurship Week as a celebration of American entrepreneurs and the lifelong learning educational opportunities that prepare the NEW business leaders of the future. Read the US Congress Resolution
Who's Involved in the NEW Movement?
Joining the NEW Movement in the continuing Celebration with the Consortium for Entrepreneurship Education are the Consortium Members, entrepreneurship educators, community leaders, and sponsors who support the entrepreneurial culture and advocate for entrepreneurship education everywhere. These leaders are students, individuals, groups, organizations, companies, and entrepreneurs from every walk of life who participate in celebrating America's heritage, creativity, and innovation.
How can you get involved?
Recognizing that each state is an important part of the pattern of the "CULTURE OF THE AMERICAN ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT", National Entrepreneurship Week is focusing on bringing together the many diverse organizations that provide education and training for current and future entrepreneurs.
Thanks to those who have volunteered to head up the State Leadership Teams in each state. Over the past four years these coordinators have taken the initiative to encourage a network of entrepreneurship supporters in each state....sharing information about their respective organizations and promoting events statewide and in each local community in support of National Entrepreneurship Week. They are the "go to" people to promote all the local activities in each state.

Help your state coordinator keep your special state page up to date. Celebration events will take place at local, state, and national levels, publicizing the great entrepreneurship education programs that exist nationwide and encouraging the growth of education and support systems everywhere. The Consortium will publicize entrepreneurship activities and events year round....with special emphasis on promoting great stories from the annual WEEK.
